HOST Application

The goal of every GrowinG Internship is to provide safe, educational learning experiences for the intern.

• Hosts commit to provide a ten-week educational / learning experience for GrowinG interns.
• Hosts will work with the intern to meet their learning objectives where possible.
• Hosts will provide the intern an opportunity to meet with local resource-related professionals when applicable and appropriate.
• Hosts are expected to provide room and board for the intern. Generally understood as 3 meals/day or a food stipend and a safe, functional living space.
• Hosts understand that the intern is receiving a stipend to participate in the GrowinG Internship Program and is required to submit a weekly Work Summary and accompanying photo(s)/video(s) at the end of each week.
• Hosts understand that the intern may or may not have a background that includes previous agricultural experience and may not be suitable for various types of work completed at the host operation with or without guidance and / or supervision.
• Hosts understand that termination of internship can happen at any time and that hosts and interns can resign from their responsibilities by contacting the GrowinG Internship Program to arrange a meeting time (via phone, zoom or in person) to discuss the reasons for withdrawal from program. We ask that you provide at least 2-weeks notice to allow us to relocate the intern.
