A Short, Good Week

#bfrdpwy #aginternship #RightRisk

In the past half week, my ranching took me out onto the expansive desert landscapes, engaging in various tasks such as tearing down fences, relocating calves, and tending to horses. This brief period offered valuable experiences that shaped my understanding of ranching.

Through hands-on experiences, I have come to realize the significance of attention to detail and careful planning. Whether it’s tearing down fences to create better grazing areas or safely moving calves, precision and forethought are crucial. This half week has reinforced the importance of considering the broader impact of each action on the ranch’s overall efficiency and the well-being of the livestock.

While I’ve gained valuable experiences, a few questions still linger in my mind. How can we strike a balance between utilizing the vast desert landscapes for grazing and preserving the delicate ecosystems? Are there sustainable strategies to enhance the resilience of the ranch in the face of environmental changes? Exploring these questions further will allow me to contribute to the long-term sustainability of the ranch and its surrounding environment.

With the knowledge and experiences gained in this half week, I plan to apply a more deliberate approach to my ranching activities. By integrating attention to detail and careful planning, I aim to optimize the use of resources and minimize waste. I will actively seek opportunities to expand my knowledge in horse care, exploring alternative methods and establishing a deeper connection with these magnificent animals. By implementing these plans, I strive to improve the overall efficiency and sustainability of the ranching practices.

The past half week has provided a glimpse into the world of ranching, encompassing tasks ranging from fence removal to calf relocation and horse care.
